Well there is just one big problem with mobile vehicles like cars that use H2.

They still have to have battery cells!

You can't "throttle" a fuel cell fast enough since there are mechanical valves and other mechanical processes in fuel cells. They can't respond in milliseconds like a chemical battery can.

Then there is the other big problem with Hydrogen, it's energy density.

For stationary applications it is beginning to make a lot of sense right now with you have access to a lot of cheap electrons.

Again the "round trip efficiency" is horrendous.

Just elementary physics and chemistry at work.
