Compaq has been and will in all probability continue to be a great investment. As to whether or not it is a good short term investment that is in question. It seems everyone on this site is so pro Compaq that you refuse to accept any of the arguments that point out that it is likely to remain in a trading range for the next few months. Every time an analyst points out something like it will take a while for any of the benefits to be realised and that in the meantime it might affect their earnings you accuse them of attempting to manipulate the stock price. If you can afford to have your money do little in the next few months ( as a multi millionaire like HPEACE )fine. But if you need to produce income you may find better short term investments for your money. Remember if you watch charts and anything changes you will see it well before it gets out of range.

Of course now having said that it will probably go to 40 next week.
After all if you coulr really figure the market out we'd all be multi millionaires.
