Since I still compete off and on, I keep a pretty good stock. Usually enough to get by for a few years. I found most of the smaller gun shops do get a supply and then ration it out and if you keep stopping by you can get a decent supply. Ammo is pretty much bought as soon as it arrives but reloading items move slower.

I regret not bidding on an estate auction 3 years ago where there were 10's of thousands of primers, bullets and hundreds of pounds of powder. The ending prices were very good. Keep eyes open for these. Often desperate bidders will screw it up but sometimes we get lucky.

On a positive note I would expect to gain a few rifles and side arms coupled with hundreds of rounds after the 1st moments of the SHingTF. Speed, distance and accuracy will prevail over spray and pray.
