when you go to the forum on icefi it is difficult to read the various players. I have been lurking there for the year trying to fathom this odd type of investment & regularly link people here to their site. Most people posting use "cute" names to post under which change frequently. I used to know who they were but apparently so did others important to the business and so they have changed yet again. The only open-ending big player that regularly posts under his own name is Phil Goldstein but I believe that there are also people from Herzfeld in Miami, the Greenwich Ct. investment group whose name escapes me, and one of the big college trusts (Harvard?) that have significant investments in CEF's. About 5 or 6 mos ago the really serious discussion moved off the open forum to some private chat thingy that we single investors have no access to.
