donsurber.blogspot.com Even CNN calls out Chris "Maynard C." Krebs I have sad news for Never Trumpers. Opposing, defying, and resisting President Donald John Trump will not protect you if the fascists take over the country next month.
Chris "Maynard C." Krebs learned this lesson on live TV on Sunday when Jake Tapper of CNN held him accountable for foreign governments hacking our computers when Krebs was director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, which Tapper called CISA.
TAPPER: Was this a failure of CISA? Was this a failure of U.S. Cyber Command? How do you see it?
KREBS: So, the way I look at it is, yes, it happened on my watch at CISA. And we missed it. A bunch of other folks missed it. But there is work that we have to do now going forward to make sure, A, we get past this, that we get the Russians out of the networks, but, B, that it never happens again. And we really need congressional support, we need the resources, we need the authorities to be able to make sure that, again, this doesn't happen again.
Yes, we have to get past this.
While the left is demanding show trials from a "truth and reconciliation committee" -- and they are dead serious about extracting vengeance on anyone who ever opposed them on anything at any time -- Krebs thinks the old half-assed admission and blame a lack of funding will do the trick this time.
Maybe.
Maybe not.
Last month, CNN made Krebs a hero of the resistance in a story, "Trump fires director of Homeland Security agency who had rejected President's election conspiracy theories."
While Krebs was mouthing off about the election, foreign hackers -- more like in Red China than Russia -- were tapping into our computers.
You know, the ones Krebs was hired to protect.
The New York Post reported, "Krebs, who was fired by President Trump last month for contradicting him over whether there was fraud during the 2020 election, said he didn’t become aware of the hack that was launched in March until it became public last week."
According to Krebs, he missed a cyberhack in March so badly that he did not learn of it until 9 months later when the press reported on it.
If he missed this, how in the heck can anyone claim that he knows whether or not election computers were hacked?
He has all the credibility of the New York Times now.
We shall see what happens to his career. His incompetence is not the problem. Heck, if competence mattered, half the people in Washington would be gone. But I have a feeling that the tools of the resistance will be discarded by Democrats as no longer useful -- or trustworthy.
If they could do that to President Trump, what stops them from doing that to a President Harris?
Ditto the Never Trumpers. They are adrift in a canoe in the swamp suffering all the discomforts of the heat and the swamp gas but enjoying none of the privileges.
