Would appreciate some actual data on this.
You can't just make a loose statement.

I know there is some great guru out there
saying its so. From the facts I have read
there are only good results in certain instances.

On the basis of theory you have two elements in
the same group producing more of a mixture. In
the case of GaAs you have a 3 to 5 compound making
for a postive negative compound. Si-Ge offers nice
rerseach but it has a long way to go to meet the
manufacturing standards that GaAs has in offering
a wide range of devices. I don't see anybody making
for the exits. From what I have read it will be used
in completely different way. Right now in cellular
they are using cheaper chips and ANAD is taking it
on the chin. (Temporary.)

Give me some info I can read please. Not an engineer
am a physical chemist but will do the best I can to
understand it.
