When I started the DraftKings board I had no idea that the DKNG/Diamond Eagle Acquisition deal would be followed by a parade of other SPAC/online gaming deals.

The Golden Nugget/Lancadia deal has the highest profile.

LCA closed at $25.49 on Friday.

Others include:

dMY Technology Group (stock symbol: DMYT), a SPAC that raised $230 million when it went public in February 2020, is merging with Rush Street Interactive, a Chicago-based online gambling company. The shareholders meeting is scheduled for December 29.

dMY Technology Group, Inc. II (stock symbol: DMYD), a SPAC that raised $276 million when it went public in August 2020, is going to merge with Genius Sports Group, "a leading provider of sports data and technology powering the sports, betting and media ecosystem.

I expect other companies to join the gold rush in the online gaming space, It would not surprise me if Fanduel pursued a U.S. listing in 2021.

Eventually, these companies will consolidate. Penn National (stock symbol: PENN) is a big player.
