| | | IMO, It's not difficult to have an election where the result can be relied on.
-----------------------------------------------
You start off with the IDENTITY of a Voter. A Voter must adequately show who he/she is. That means an Identity Book/Card with the individual's photograph on it, and that voter must be a BONE FIDE CITIZEN of the USA..
The above Voter must be registered to Vote in a particular part of the country, e.g. a District, County, etc.
There is a specific day on which one can vote, and between a specific start and stop time. If you're not in the Vote queue at the end of the vote period you don't vote, PERIOD.
Once you are identified as a Registered voter in the relevant voting district, you are given one PAPER ballot on which to make your choice(s), and you vote at a designated voting centre. Your name is now crossed off and you will not be able to vote again on the day. No MECHANICAL device of any kind is to be used in the voting process.
The votes are placed into sealed voting boxes/containers each with its own unique identity reference number.
If you are not in your country on voting day you can only vote in the Consulate or Embassy of your country by proving your identity as above.
All the votes are manually counted under the full-time and constant observation and checks by all the political parties involved in the election. The vote count takes as long as the vote count takes.
---------------------------------------------
If this is how the actual voting was done in the USA on 3rd November 2020, IN ALL THE US STATES, I don't believe there would now be any doubt as to who was the legitimate winner of that election.
The above is basically how it's done in my part of the world. We've had 6 General Elections since, and including, 1994 without any problems. |
