You are right, timming the stock will end up with big lose. You never know when the stock will really fire up, it can be tomorrow, it can be next month, it can be three months later, you just never know. Just look at the chart of CPQ from May to Sep 1997, before May, probably every one on this thread said CPQ will be dead money for the next six months of 1997,
but , then what happen, stock price started to fire up in July, up and up and up for 100 points
,without looking back. So, you never know when the price will start to fire up. But from
What CPQ has done in the past one year, that is gaining the market shares, buying company with technology and market and good products, I can almost see what the CEO is thinking
about and his strategy, vision and ambition. Again, you never know when the stock price will
start to fire up, but for long term, CPQ is paving the way to be the first class company in the
year 2000 and after, and the direction is right so far. So, guys, just be patient.
