i just returned home
from one of the circuit
city locations in la...i had
a quick peek at the audio-video
department.
it was a very quick peek,
as i have little use for crowds, especially
when the din alone is enough to make me
shudder. anyway, i know it's saturday, and i'm
being intolerant. but we all have our limits...the point,
yes, the point is one would have to
be very observant to detect any zenith presence...
there were 35", 42", and 61" ( 60?) projection tvs...but they
were dwarfed by sony, philips/magnavox, hitachi, ge, rca/proscan
et al. i may have missed the set-top boxes, but i know they weren't
prominent, if they were there at all.
the store was a nightmare. its displays were haphazard and nothing
was shown in any truly appealing manner. i may be a harsh critic,
but one who may not be would have to agree in this case. i was
disappointed, if not genuinely surprised at this. eg, the good guys
has made great recent strides in this area. this store seemed
dated and unfocused....i will go to another location tomorrow
to see if it isn't simply true of this particular one.
