Unusually strong conjunction. The last one where they were this close was 1226. Some scientists link the gravitational pull from these two giants being so close on the sun to periodic cooling phases. electroverse.net . This is a good article covering the theory.

The cycles are clear though the reasons are open to some debate. I would like to see it get a little cooler...would help out the natty gas stocks. And maybe force AOC to go get a fur coat.

At any rate, I like watching the stars at night when doing chores. This conjunction was a spectacular display.
