The "Historical Start Date" in the Data Downloader doesn't do anything if you hit "Run Now", even if you delete all the data in a quote file. That is, a new "Historical Start Date" is ignored by the "Run Now" command. You need to go to the Quotes >> Clear and ReDownload ..." Command after you change the Historical Start Date, if you want to get historical data earlier than what you already have in the quote files.
