I upgraded my MOBO to a Gigabyte last month when my old MOBO (a micro ATX Asus) stopped recognizing some drives I had, even in the BIOS.

Stayed with Intel for the chip, but couldn't use my water-cooled fan in the new setup. However the stock one they sent with the chip did a pretty good job, but the temp app I had saw some cores hit 100 on occasion, so I upgraded it too.

Lots of new hardware with a new MOBO I found.
