LG Display May Benefit From Strong LCD Demand, Supply Shortage -- Market Talk 1:04 am ET December 30, 2020 Dow Jones 0604 GMT - LG Display may benefit from stronger-than-expected demand for liquid-crystal-display panels, a global supply shortage of which will likely continue through 1H 2021, SK Securities says. A recent power outage and supply disruption at Nippon Electric Glass in Japan is also straining the LCD supply chain, which could favor the Korean flat-screen maker, the brokerage says. SK Securities also expects the company to enjoy solid demand for plastic organic-light-emitting-diode for iPhone 12 smartphones through 2021. The brokerage raises the stock's target by 26% to KRW24,000 and maintains its buy rating. Shares are 0.3% higher at KRW18,650.
