McConnell has no love for Chump or Dummy Pence. Pence was tight with the former Republican Governor of Kentucky Matt Bevin, who McConnell kneecapped when it turned out that instead of pretending to be a religious fanatic, Bevin actually was a religious fanatic, going after the Republican leadership in the Kentucky House for sexual misconduct. McConnell cares about McConnell, the Republican Party in Kentucky (which he bought and owns), and the Republicans in the U.S. Senate, in that order. Chump is a useful idiot to him, nothing more. IMHO.
