But the homeless problem in Oregon was here long before CV-19. In fact, sticking my neck out a little, I think the problem was made worse by the blanket Oregon response on rent, as that made it easy for people who nominally struggle with rent to get in a situation where they will live rent free for 6-12 months and then get evicted in the end. It was a good intentioned but stupidly structured law. Which is what I think of the stimulus checks are as well.
