Any particular reason you left out the Eagles vs The Team?
Yep... I plain screwed up! I had selected Philadelphia and Washington as the first game in, partially because of the playoff angle, but mostly because it was the only game in the Sunday night game slot. So I put that one on the side and looked for 8 games to fill the 8 slots that Glenn said we had. At that point I completely lost sight of Philadelphia/Washington.
So, I agree with your inference that the game is too important to overlook, plus it's in the Sunday night slot. Since no one has yet made their picks, we can eliminate one of the other games and put this game in. Which game should we part with? I'm assuming that we can't have 9 games because of the available game slots in the SI table... I'd suggest the Falcons/Buccaneers as the least interesting (and a likely victory for Tampa Bay). Just noticed I missed Jacksonville/Indianapolis as well. Could we get 10 games in the table?
An interesting side note to the Cardinals/Rams game. Besides the injury to their QB, the Rams now have a star player with COVID-19 (Kupp). So the Rams are without two of their top offensive stars for the Sunday finale. Should the Rams have to sit other players due to the virus protocol, the game could be suspended/postponed until early next week. Further assuming the game couldn't be played next week, then the game could be either forfeited to the Cardinals or outright cancelled. If it's forfeited AND the Bears lose to Green Bay, then the Cardinals win the last playoff spot. If the game is outright cancelled, then the Bears automatically get the playoff spot regardless of who wins the Green Bay/Chicago game.
