If you take pictures of people in their cars, be careful of road rage.

Related story: On one of my trips to Hawaii I was enamored with a really good street singer. I took out my phone and started to video. A few seconds after I stopped, a quite attractive woman tapped me on the shoulder and accused me in her accented voice of photographing her and her kid(s) without her permission. Of course I told her if she were in my video it was by accident, but no matter because I was on a public street as was she, so no laws were broken. She continued to argue so I tried to assuage her fears by consenting to show her the video. She and her kids were in it for a few seconds at best. Nevertheless, she was relentless in asking me to delete it.

Three thoughts came to mind: 1) She was a celebrity in her native country and was genuinely being protective of her family, 2) She had run away with her kids and was fearful of being tracked down, or 3) She was just unjustly paranoid. Being a nice guy and giving her the benefit of the doubt, I deleted the video and that was that. To this day I'm curious what the "right" answer really was, but I don't regret what I did as she was clearly in some sort of distress.
