Obama was far smarter than any republican at the time. They wanted spending cuts. FDR did the same and cause the Great Depression to go on for years. We learn from our mistakes so we increased spending. Republicans don't know economic history so they never learn and they would have repeated the mistakes made by FDR.

Btw, Europe cut spending and went back into recessions, just like FDR.
