Hi Jane,
That is why I tend to agree with the thought of Him being the scape goat for Yom Kippur that year for He went immediately into the desert which the goat does to take the sins of Israel away. The temptation was another aspect of it. I believe baptism is also a source of strength for battle. But I believe it was the sins of Israel He left in the water. He already was functioning as High Priest is what I am trying to say making atonement for the people. I am glad you are here Jane we miss your interesting posts, Nancy
