SIM Year 2000 Infrastructure Working Group Topic Manager

Mr. Hall is a member of the Society for Information Management, and the Year 2000 Working Group Infrastructure Topic Manager. As the Topic Manager, he serves as a clearinghouse for all Year 2000 Infrastructure information generated by a wide network of corespondents. He is a member of several Year 2000 User Groups and is also member of the USAF Year 2000 Working Group. Over the past two and a half years, he has provided Year 2000 Infrastructure briefings to a variety of audiences such as community groups, international symposia, Congressional personnel, and senior Department of Defense personnel.

For the past several years, Mr. Hall has been speaker at national Y2K forums, and he was a contributing author to Year 2000 Problem: Strategies and Solutions from the Fortune 100. Mr. Hall is experienced in Year 2000 conversion and infrastructure management, with a focus on embedded systems.

Mr. Hall is Managing Director, Embedded Systems Engineering, with The Millennium Investment Corporation of Chicago, IL. In this role he directs and accomplishes research into the various technical and financial impacts of Year 2000 problems on all industry sectors, government departments, and foreign countries.

Previously Mr. Hall served as Program Manager for the Combat Systems Unit at ARINC Inc. He had responsibility for Y2K projects, Internet, intranet and World Wide Web development services, software applications development, and fixed and rotary wing aircraft avionics system engineering, management, and logistics support.

Mr. Hall also has served as Intelligence Analyst for the U.S. Air Force, analyzing and reporting on intelligence information concerning foreign military aerospace applications including laser and microwave systems, materials, power, electro-optics, and metrology. His responsibilities extended to briefing all levels of audiences up to the Air Force Chief of Staff and Department of Defense offices on intelligence matters, and serving as the Air Force Representative on several national-level intelligence committees and groups.

As an Air Force Reserve Lieutenant Colonel, David is assigned to the United States Air Force National Air Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. He holds the position of Advanced Technology Manager (USAFR) in the Technology Analysis Directorate and has more than 20 years experience in systems analysis and advanced technology applications.
