This would not be a large part of SFE's portfolio, and there hasn't been much discussion here, but I would check out the LASX board: techstocks.com. SFE is also funding them, indirectly, through XL Vision (http://www.xlvision.com), the people responsible for Who? Vision's technology. There is some debate as to the degree of interrelatedness between LASX and Who?, but I think we'll see it all come together fairly soon.
As an aside, I have been seeing biometric/fingerprint/security stuff everywhere. Maybe I wasn't looking before, but now you can't avoid it: IBD, WSJ, Upside, and Fortune all have recent articles. If you think wbout it, the Internet makes access everywhere and everything accesible: banking, medical records, commerce, etc. What makes this work form a safety standpoint? biometrics.
