life is full of challenges mostly ending in failure. Many are disturbed by failure. Failure is part of learning. Sometimes a person can feel over whelmed and discouraged when the world changes and they feel left behind. Most of us have experienced this and pickup and try again. Often a diversion or fantasy will take our mind off the trials and tribulations that can be really exhausting.

From Star Trek to Video games, drugs to religion... something kewl to escape to. If they are rebuffed for doing some escape mechanism, the complaints only reinforce their behavior.

No biggie, just let em go, the only way to help them is to let them figure it out for themselves. This personality cult figure could be one's parent, a movie star, or, the likes of DJT. Some of the Politicians who got on the bandwagon are leaving now. Hopefully, most Trumpies will eventually move on. Probably some will go to something beside seeking reality. But, that is their problem.

They seem to thrive on the huge volumes of complicated theories they post. If you see an opportunity slip in a one liner here and there just to piss on their parade.
