Thanks for your input.

The whatever Terriers are both spayed female rescues. The 2 year old at age ~1, the 4 year old at age 2. They get along very well.

The meet and greet was and still is a mixed bag. Bella got to close to them on the first walk resulting in a mini attack from the 2 year old and some growling for the 4 year old. Now Bella knows to keep a distance of 6 to 8 ft which seems to be enough to keep the peace.

The idea of the treat training routine may not work as Bella is not a food / treat oriented dog. Probably my doing as I don’t use treats in training.

An additional problem I did not mention. The lady who owns / cares for the dogs (her husband seems to take a lesser interest) is not what you would call a confident owner. She is clearly fearful of what her dogs may do and thus has so far done her best to keep her dogs away from other dogs and even people. Very likely something the dogs are picking up on as it may explain their “aggressiveness” which may just be “over-protectiveness”.

BTW, when we walk the dogs in the golf course, Penny, the not so young owner, only handles only one of her dogs while either my wife or I handle the other as I very much doubt that Penny would be able to hang on to the dogs if both bolted at the same time.
