OK, so you're saying if he is impeached, but not convicted, the crimes he was impeached for are not covered by pardons?

I guess I'm just thinking what's the point? He's going to be spending the next few years fighting the Southern District of NY for a boatload of stuff they'll get him for. Charging him federally for inciting a riot will be difficult and keep him relevant. I think most just want him to disappear and become irrelevant.
