The rapidity of the situation is always an issue. But the fact remains that there was nothing in what she presented to the officer who shot her that put him in imminent threat of death or great bodily harm. I think the fact that the other officers, who were also armed, did not shoot speaks volumes for the fact that they did not consider themselves at sufficient risk to justify their use of deadly force. Legally speaking, I would rather represent the victim's heirs.
