Thanks for the post. I'll start at the end of your questions first. What am I doing here if I don't own any shares? I have been posting and following Ftel the company for over a year. I originally started looking at it as an investment. When I began reading the board, all I saw was mostly hype, ironically that dissuaded me from buying. I then began to question some of what was said. Needless to say, I never felt comfortable enough to buy it, and continue to question. I hope that helps you understand why I post.
On to the more important issues that you raise. I don't feel that Ftel can be compared to Msft, Intc or Csco ( at their early stages ), those companies began with a specific product and that product is still the foundation of their business. Msft ( software ), Intc ( computer hdwe. ) Csco ( communications equipment ). Ftel as you know has been in business for over 17 years ( as Ftel, longer if you include Franklin systems, reference Frank Peter's message dated Sep.11, 1996, on this board below ).

1) Would you say Ftel has been a success up to this point ? My opinion is no, however, I give them credit for somehow staying afloat this long.
2) Did the above companies ( Msft etal ) abandon their fundamental product lines and refocus time and again ? Please read the entire post reference above and tell me if any product has been a success up to now? That is not a matter for interpretation as the bottom line answer to that are the companies revenues. In that regard, Ftel has not been successful up to now. Again, I do however, give Ftel credit for it's resourcefulness in staying afloat. During Ftel's history many new products came to market, today the product that will propel Ftel is the DVG. Will it happen ? Will Ftel's DVG launch the company and will it begin to produce significant revenues ? To answer that, I look at the ambiguous news releases.
3) Ambiguous new's releases ? In my opinion, those news releases are;
a) Franklin to collocate with Wcom. What does that mean ? Is Ftel paying Wcom for locations ( if so, how much ), is Wcom paying Ftel ? More details are needed from Ftel ( not this board ), for shareholders to determine whether this news is truly significant.
b) Franklin states it's tempest (r)" Best of the Show " did it ? reference below;

This sentence from that release is confusing ??? The Tempest is the only Data Voice Gateway to be included among the honorees. Was it a winner or an honoree?
c) ATT order; dated Sept. 26, 1997, reference below.

Please see my post referenced below from yesterday, to Judith, Quotes from Ftel's S-1a, where it seems they are talking about their older product lines not selling well. The quote from the S-1a possibly does not refer to the Channel Bank with the new FXO feature, however, that news release was dated Sept.26, 1997. Are their significant sales yet ???.

d) To spare readers of this post a lengthy analysis of most of Ftel's news releases, I will simply direct you to Ftel's press release page reference below, and let the reader be the judge of whether or not any release up until now has been or will be meaningful to the only thing pertinent to shareholders, and that is " What are or will be, earnings" . Can Ftel produce now ?

To all current and perspective shareholders of Ftel, I wish you and the company well. My opinion for whatever it's worth is, when you see the company expand the physical size of it's facilities and it generates meaningful ( well spelled out ) press releases ( not that a major company will make their announcement shortly, then dana topping of intrine.com under construction ), not sensationalism, Ftel may finally be on it's way to what many here are hoping for.
To the dirty dozen, if you leave my name out of your comments when you are bored or there are no news releases, I will refrain from posting ( take a look at my recent posts, they were instigated by your comments ), I will still follow Ftel's progress, but will not post unless I see my name mentioned in a derogatory way. I am going to post one more ( Off topic ) to Vic Kimpl and Doug Best in answer to their comments. Again my name in a derogatory manner. Take me up on it !
