There are multiple photographs of pro-Trump rioters carrying law enforcement-style flex-cuffs. Rioters went looking for @VP, @SpeakerPelosi, @SenSchumer. It raises the question of whether there was an organized plan to take hostages. @LukeRussert Replying to @LukeRussert One last thing I can’t shake, had capable foreign actors been embedded with the terrorists, they could have killed half of Congress, held hostages for ransom/prisoner release and stolen countless hard drives etc. We were so damn vulnerable and so lucky it wasn’t even worse. Replying to @AndrewFeinberg Moreover, multiple reports have indicated that Trump WH officials were in contact with rioters during the incident. This attempt to stop Congress from counting electoral votes was organized on 4chan/8kun/TheDonald/Parler & similar sites. Some of Trump's closest advisers... @AndrewFeinberg ...including Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, are both active on many of those sites and very, very familiar with the pro-Trump online communities and the culture thereof. Any competent investigator will need to look into what White House officials knew and when they knew it.
