Scandanavians are Capitalist, not socialists. They pay high taxes to support a generous welfare state, but they need a capitalist economy to support it.
Yes - and there are many historic, cultural and other factors playing there. Socialisms are not black or white - they’re shades of gray, from benign to distinctly evil, like Stalinism. The critical feature seems to be about powers of the government vs rights of individual citizens. Not having rights to own/control means of making a living, in reality, means having no rights worth mentioning. One example is demonetizing FB pages. It’s expropriating a business. Interesting that it’s done by private monopolies... with a nod and a wink from political powers.
