This was in response to Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy who announced a decision posted at Message 33136409

The amount of rare earth metals is minuscule even that their importance is very tempting to develop a mining facility. But they will completely destroy big swats of pristine land for pitiful amount of rare metals and nature will not come back or rejuvenate.
