The cheating was not as extreme and apparent as alleged. There is zero evidence of voting machines being programmed to miscount. The one tiny bit of video we got was strange but did not show workers scanning the same ballots repeatedly as claimed.

But it is clear lots of things were done without observers, in violation of chain of custody laws and secure procedures. But the Trump team made a serious error in alleging things that couldn’t be proven.

The greatest problem imo was mishandling of mail in ballots. This is inherently a problem in that these ballots must be agreed upon by partisans before the envelope is separated. Democrat says Yes, that’s a good vote. Republican agrees. If not, that ballot and envelope must be put aside for adjudication, complete with envelope. This process did not happen at any site AFAIK.

Yet, this issue was never raised in court. It is fundamental to our system that this agreement occur before a vote is counted.

But the wildest conspiracy theories were a mistake. The evidence is far too weak for some of those things and made them look like fools. It was also a mistake to assume the Supreme Court was going to get involved. They knew they weren’t from the outset. They were not about to touch this.

Our judicial system doesn’t seem equipped to handle this.
