TXN is the number one supplier of analog components. Electric cars require a lot of electronic components. Not sure how much TXN supplies to Tesla and other car manufacturers or even in conventional cars which have a lot of electronics now.

ADI is the number 2 analog device supplier from memory. Look like they recent announce they make RF modules for wireless, not sure if the is 5G phone or IOT devices. Phones good. IOT maybe not so good. That market seems to be rolling out slower than anticipated and embedded solution are less attractive from
an economic perspective. CES will tell how much traction IOT still has.

INTC CPU business is a mess due to problems with Fab transition but the hidden new green fields are is the Mobile Eye acquisition and Real Sense sensors which can go into smarter cars - either autonomous or just safety enhanced. Too soon to figure out which.

For autonomous cars if you can get all cars in a country to switch over it makes sense as there would be standardized strategies for specific situations and individual cars would be communicating their location,
but mix autonomous with human drivers and you have all kinds of liability issues as who is a fault in the case of an accident?

My opinions only.
