Explain what? Amazon was going to set up a second headquarters in NYC. That was going to bring in up to 12,000 high-paying jobs to the city, along with all the other jobs created by many of them living, shopping, and dining there.
AOC decided that was bad bad bad because, uh, gentrification, and uh, corporate subsidies, and uh, you know, the thing! She even complained that the city was going to spend $3B to bring Amazon in.
She has no freakin' clue, so she didn't realize that the $3B is not a giveaway, but instead an investment.
I'm not sure you realize that, either, despite you posting on a forum called Silicon INVESTOR ...
