Borusa,
It was/is a mantra that says, "time to get your house in order", to the cops. That is all.
When our schools fail to properly educate our kids, do we defund them? Of course not. We throw even more money at the problem.

When the CIA failed to prevent 9/11, and when they failed to accurately assess whether Iraq had any WMD, did we defund them? Of course not. We threw even more money at them.

California recently uncovered extremely high levels of unemployment fraud, somewhere around $2B. You think California is going to defund the unemployment benefits office? Of course not, we're going to throw even more money at them.

Don't kid yourself. "Defunding the cops really means defunding the cops," like Alexandria Occasional-Cortex said. They really think by reducing police presence, crime will go down.

That's completely bass-ackwards thinking, and it's time to call it out for what it is.
