Nice close today. Volume was tepid most of the day, but it picked up a bit in the last 10 minutes and was dominated by the buy side.

The most interesting news out of CES (IMHO) was the proliferation of sizes including an announced 42" television and 32" high-end computer monitor. There were statements that more monitor sizes were coming in the 20-30 inch range. The spokesperson seemed to indicate that this was from the WOLED process and not from their small-screen P-OLED lines. As RGB production scales up in size and WOLED scales down, it will be interesting to see the meting point.

WOLED production efficiency is greatly enhanced though MMG (multi-mode mother glass) which allows LG to utilize the entire substrate by producing multiple sizes on the same glass. My assumption is that these smaller sizes are largely a function of that efficiency and will share space with 77", 83" and 88" displays on the same substrate. As found with the 48" screens, that does lead to a limited supply and a very low marginal cost to LG. That makes these screens extremely profitable.

When we get to the earnings call, my primary focus in listening will be on expanded MMG implementation as well as CapEx commitments going forward.
