Carlos..it is so great to have you on thread. That's what I was trying to address(suffering). I knew I could die. BUt a long time ago.... The Holy Spirit ask me if "I could die like Jesus??" His death was pretty graphic. Although Thomas was flayed alive. My immediate repsonse was "No!!". But, for some reason I said" but I would like to be able to." I was in church having this discussion with Holy Spirit. Anyway, it was a 4 nite teaching seminar. I was back the next night. We were worshiping and our worship leader started one of my favorite worships... part way through the song. I just fell over. I was out for a few minutes I guess. I got up and then I finished the worship. In a few minutes the Holy Spirit ask me "could you die like Jesus now??". I didn't even have to think... my answer was strangely.... ...."yes!". Since that moment any kind of death has always been different. I'm glad I didn't try to fake out God by religiously answering the question "yes" when the Holy Spirit ask me the question the nite before. But, I understand that the Apostles ask for and got a gift from God to die the way the did. It was not done with their knowledge of the word or anything natural... it's a supernatural gift. None of this changes the validity of any of your statements, but I'm just indicating that supernatural help is availble. peace
