They are very destructive and have great range.

.....what would a typical pattern look like with a 12 gauge and 0 buckshot at say 10 yards..............do they pack the buckshot in some sort of sheathed one piece wad these days?...........I use to hunt rabbits a lot back in the day.........no dogs.....just kick them out of the brush as we had some very good spots and actually wasted more time with a dog.............but when they came out with those one piece plastic wads, I couldn't hit anything (too tight a pattern) at the close distances all the early season shots were at.................my father bought a reloader..... circa 1967..... Mayville Engineering Co. (Mec 600JR) through a company called Herters and reloaded for everyone with the old felt wads and (for me #6 for 1st shot and #5 for second) I became a pretty good rabbit shooter..............dam though , I had a terrible time jump shooting grouse........those were great times.
