Shortly after moving into our first home, which was situated on 5 acres, a neighbor who owned 2 rottweilers was wandering around in the woods on our property. Her dogs were (irresponsibly) off leash and they attacked and nearly killed our 11 yr old Dane/Rhodesian Ridgeback. She was never the same after that, and died 6 months later.

Makes me want to cry thinking about it.

I hated folks with their BIG dogs off leash ..
