Jim, you have to enclose a "i" between these types of brackets before whatever you want to italicize and " /i" enclosed in <> after whatever you want to put in italics.

Note: if you go back to edit, your italics will disappear and you will have to do it over again.

hope this helps, can't demonstrate, because it will disappear.. Gosh,
