Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) attacked the integrity of the National Guard units patrolling Washington, D.C. in an appearance on CNN Monday:

The Memphis-based Democrat didn’t cite any evidence, other than the fact that he doesn’t like that the military is more conservative than the electorate as a whole. Although the FBI has raised concerns over the possibility of an insider attack occurring on Inauguration Day, acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller said there is “no intelligence indicating an insider threat.”

Cohen outrageously compared his perceived threat to the assassinations of foreign leaders Anwar Sadat and Indira Gandhi, who were murdered by their own soldiers. Never mind that every service member swears an oath to “support and defend the Constitution.”
