I agree with you, a federal court in dc should indict and try Trump for a federal felony, then put him to federal prison for life unless someone pardons him. Inciting a crowd to siege Congress while in session to confirm president elect is a Federal Felony against the US. DC is full of lawyers, and a lot in Trump Administration submitted a resignation because of this. What exactly are you suggesting? This outrageous act never happened in history of USA. Let us see what the Senate decides since this act put lives of congress people including Pence in jeopardy, and all of Congress witnessed it. Congress decides whether Supreme Court has jurisdiction over matters. It is the legistrative branch of the USA. It appoints Supreme court judges.

In many states when someone participates in a felony and one of the perpetrators is killed by a police the person is charged
with felony murder and imprisoned for life. That is for ordinary citizen of course. Why an ex president should be pardoned for doing exactly that? An ordinary citizen would be executed for such an act I assure you. In fact, by security, even before committing the act. This is much, much worse, because it is an attack on Congress, which is a crime pretty much similar to an attack on US President. Or does the civil war make it OK somehow? Are we in civil war already, which excuses it all?
