<TA> Anybody good at interpreting Bollinger bands? I looked at a few stocks that looked like they've been in a consistent (and believable) uptrend since 1/12/98. Their BBs have turned up and are narrowing. This is a bullish sign isn't it? Metastock says:
"Sharp price changes tend to occur after the bands tighten, as volatility lessens."
Also, "A move that originates at one band tends to go all the way to the other band. This observation is useful when projecting price targets." This would make the downside risk on most of these at 5% to 10%, and then a continuation of the reversal uptrend. Any ideas? Thean? Check out "Bollinger Bands" at my web site: lonestar.texas.net The trend is most pronounced in MIND, FGII, and GW, but a case can also be made for FLC, GLM, CDG, MDCO, PTEN, and VRC.
BB's were calculated with 10SMA and 2SD.
