Well, you misread my comment. Short as it was. The problem with presidential pardons is that they are without boundaries. There had been a normative agreement to only do those that past through the DOJ clearing process. Violations? Of course. But the norm remained. Trump blew through that. So it needs rethinking. Moreover, there is some talk among the new senate majority to look at Trump's pardons to see if some of them violate some laws. I don't expect much to come from that. But it's worth the attempt.
