Late father-in-law owned a 38' Le Comte Yawl. Summer 1976. 2 day sail up N.J. coast, past Manhattan on the East River, ran the length of Long Island Sound flat out. Spelled Charlie at the helm every few hours. Couldn't believe how fast & responsive she was. As sun hung low in the sky, coasted into our reserved mooring @ Newport, R.I. harbor. Tall Ships & racing yachts came in from Bermuda, the following day.

Spectacular doesn't even begin to describe it.
