The kids getting smart through learning is inevitable.
It is an equation, because the foundation of intellectualism is the "medium, not the message" i.e. it doesn't matter completely what the kids are doing, it is the processing information that is important, and the more you do that, the better you get ,and the wider your vision becomes and so you start engaging esoteria.
And the more you know, the more you cannot be fooled. Kids saw Trump for what he is, better than any other age group. They were horrified people were taking him seriously-lol.
In fact, IMO, the internet is the prime mover of the "world" moving left.
And the world becoming more existential every day.
And the internet is the abilitater for the emancipation of women, minorities and the LGBTQ community.
And the good thing about about the world becoming more existential, is the freedom one gets to manifest their destiny, but the bad thing is that we (society) lose our rules and have to make new ones, or it is anarchy.
And so we have to be smart enough to do that well.
