Yep the right wingers are quick to attack and run to mommy when they do not get their way. Double standard rules are normal for them. I have the same issue over on an investment thread - they whine and have hissy fits about off topic subjects but are just fine with off topic subjects if the host is a right wanger.
My experience, too. I left an SI investment thread after someone started posting lies about who won the election. Then, fellow conspiracy theorists piled on. Several people, including myself and someone else who posts here objected. Eventually, the moderator asked people to refrain from politics, but for me the damage had been done. I don’t want to hear from or associate myself with anything a nut job insurrectionist-supporting conspiracy theorist has to say—even if it costs me money.

I am very sad it has come to this, but for me it has.
