Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Trump a “f-king moron” as reported by NBC News. The comments came after Tillerson had a meeting at the Pentagon with members of the White House national security team and Cabinet officials.
Rupert Murdoch had a testy phone conversation with Trump during which the media magnate was left “holding out the phone as the president’s voice rambled into the air.” The Fox News founder complained, “I can’t get the asshole off the phone!” Murdoch was also said to have called Trump a “f-king idiot” following a conversation about immigration.
Defense Secretary General Jim Mattis said Trump had the understanding of “a fifth- or sixth-grader” according to accounts of Bob Woodward’s book that were published by The Washington Post. The comments came after a National Security Council meeting on Jan. 19 in which Trump questioned why the government was using resources to maintain a U.S. military presence on the Korean Peninsula. Mattis told Trump that presence was necessary “in order to prevent World War III.”
White House chief of staff General John Kelly called Trump an “idiot” and “unhinged” as The Post reported. NBC News first reported in May that Kelly had referred to the president as an idiot multiple times, in addition to making several remarks “insulting the president’s intelligence and casting himself as the savior of the country.”
Trump’s first White House chief of staff Reince Preibus called him an “idiot.”
National security adviser General H.R. McMaster called Trump a “dope” with the intelligence of a “kindergartner.” At a dinner in July 2017, McMaster mocked Trump, also calling him an “idiot” as BuzzFeed News reported.
General John E. Hyten, the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said “The president is an idiot” according to retired Col. Kathy Spletstoser. “He is just a businessman without the basic understanding of national security," the general reportedly said about Trump. "Everything is a business transaction for him and making money is winning to him and the only thing that matters.”

Omarosa Manigault Newman, the highest-ranking African-American staffer in the West Wing, claimed in a book published earlier this summer that Trump is a “racist, misogynist and bigot.” In her book, “Unhinged,” Manigault Newman said she witnessed Trump use racial epithets while describing presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway’s husband, George Conway, who is half Filipino.
White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said Trump was “like an 11-year-old child” according to Vanity Fair. He also said that Trump had “lost his step” and that he was “sick of being a wet nurse to a 71-year-old man.”

Elaine Kamarck, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington, said: “He’s an idiot. He’s handled it [the pandemic] horribly. When things are rough, you want somebody who can exude confidence and competence and Trump does not do that.”
Olivia Troye, a former top coronavirus aide and adviser to Mike Pence and an official on the Trump administration’s coronavirus task force, has released a new video slamming Trump’s handling of the pandemic. Troye confirmed Bob Woodward's recent revelations by saying that Trump and his White House knew the coronavirus was in America and deadly serious in February. Troye also confirmed that Trump purposefully downplayed not only the messaging but also the need for serious government action, because it was an election year. Troye also related Trump finding a silver lining in the pandemic, telling the task force: “Maybe this COVID thing is a good thing. I don’t like shaking hands with people. I don't have to shake hands with these disgusting people." As Troye remarked, “Those disgusting people are the same people he claims to care about.” |
