Although a different form factor, M.2 SATA is the same as SSD SATA.

What gets tricky is M.2 NVMe uses multiple PCIe lanes and is faster, but since it uses more lanes it might limit how many drives I boot. Very fuzzy on that...

Regardless of how great a computer is though, unused capability does nothing.
