That cop had no reason to believe it was necessary to defend against deadly force.

Actually, he did. There was gunfire in the Capitol Building. There were pipe bombs that had been planted. There were calls to hang Mike Pence. People were yelling for the location of Pelosi and others. The cops knew this. And she had a backpack on. He had no way to know what was in it. You don't have to have an AR-15 strapped across your chest or a Glock in your hand to be armed.

Not only that, there had seconds before been at least five officers were deadly as hell standing right next to her and she was neither aggressive nor threatening.

Nope. The 5 cops were coming up the stairs and weren't standing right beside her. You have the sequence of events wrong. Granted, once she had fallen back, they were there, but...

As she climbed into the window, she was AMBUSHED. Not told to "Halt!" and in fact not one word was said to her.

Not ambushed. If she didn't see the guns pointed at her, the crowd was saying there were guns. From the videos, it certainly looks like the cop was yelling something at her before she came in the window. And there are reports that he did.
