It's too bad there are more than a few people who think that Microsoft doesn't innovate. They're dead wrong, but I guess it keeps the stock from going parabolic.

So we don't have to go through the tape measurement exercise, I've also been developing software for more than the 3 times the 5 years I've been at MSFT. My first commercial development was on Compupro S-100 systems. I recently bought what many would consider a large number of MSFT shares (over and above options or stock purchase program) to hold for the long haul. If you only knew the current level of innovation inside the company, you may consider it as well.
